YES!!! IT'S BACK!!! December 4, 2008 kelt4ever (Florida) This is one of my all-time favorite games and it originally came on a DOS/Win/Mac CD (4 different games in 3 formats) that I got with my Mac 6500 PPC. That CD still works in classic 9.2 on my G4 (you need to save often because it's a little unstable in OS 9). I have always wished that this game had been updated and here it is. It's a great game at a great price. I do have to admit it's too bad it doesn't have all the features of the original, but there are some great changes and the action and graphics are outstanding! Definitely worth the money and still an outstanding game. Definitely Five Stars!!!
Pretty good fun for a while - then the map glitch/bug strikes November 9, 2008 psignosis (Eugene, OR United States) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
It's a pretty fun game for awhile, but remember to save often because there's a map glitch in the Mac version which will make your ship unable to move anywhere and you'll have to reload from a previous save location. This has made the game pretty painful to play for me, which is a shame, because it's got a lot of things to do in it and just cruising around and raiding merchant ships is fun. There's no Mac patch to fix this as of this review I'm writing - I'd recommend you wait for it or else save your money for something else. Hey, it only took FOUR YEARS for this to become available for the Mac after the PC version...you can wait a while longer for a patch, right?
